Congratulations December Graduate!
Linfield University School of Nursing is excited to celebrate you as you complete your Nursing program and take your next step into the profession of nursing.
We invite you and your loved ones to the December 2023 Pinning Ceremony at Parkrose High School. During this event, you will receive a Nursing pin, bestowed upon you by a loved one. Below are details of the coming event:
Ceremony Details
Date and Time: Friday, December 15th @ 6:00pm.
Ceremony Location: Parkrose High School Theater.
Address: 12003 NE Shaver St, Portland, OR 97220.
Parking: Parking will be available at the high school. Please refer to the map of available parking options found on the Linfield website (scroll down a bit on the page to see the map).
Tickets: Each graduate is eligible to collect up to FIVE (5) tickets at the time of initial RSVP. Tickets are required for all attendees outside of the graduating student, including your pinner.
Additional tickets are offered on a first come, first served basis and may be requested by students when making their initial RSVP. Extra tickets outside of the initial quantities will be distributed accordingly. Students will receive a separate email with information regarding the ticket collection process.
Student/Pinner Details [please share this information with your chosen Pinner]
Pinner Selection/Processional: Please choose A Very Special Person™ to be your pinner. They may be whoever you’d like them to be (Mom, Dad, Sibling, Significant Other, Child, Best Friend, etc.). If you don’t have a pinner, no worries, Dean Smith will do the honors! Please notify the Dean’s Office by emailing [email protected] of this request prior to the ceremony to ensure logistics.
Students will line up with their pinners before the ceremony and both the student and pinner will be guided into the theater and seated together during the processional. At the time of pinning, event staff will guide students and their pinners to the stage to be pinned. Linfield Nursing Pins will be provided and distributed. Please do not order your own Nursing pins.
Arrival Time: Arrive at the theater no later than 5:30pm with your pinner and proceed to the student/pinner area to receive additional instructions.
Attire: Business (no caps and gowns).
Professional Photos: Will be taken by GradImages, these photos will be available for purchase approximately one week after the pinning at www.GradImages.com
Viewing Options
On Campus: Guests may attend the ceremony in person at the Parkrose High School Theater. As this is a ticketed event, please ensure that you will have enough tickets reserved for the guests that plan to attend in-person.
Streaming: The ceremony will also be streamed live via the Linfield University YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/linfielduniversity
