Are you interested in learning more about how your nursing degree can be applied?

If so, join the upcoming session of the Navigate Nursing Lecture Series which will explore Culturally Responsive Family Health. This session is presented by Violet Larry, BSN RN, who just retired from the Multnomah County Health Department after serving over 30 years! She is very excited to talk about finding her passion in the nursing field as well as serving her community through advocacy, education, and relationship building. Join this session to find out how Violet earned March of Dimes’s “Heroes in Action” award 2 years in a row!

Presented by: Violet Larry

Violet Larry is a Linfield Good Samaritan School of Nursing graduate, and is a true Oregon native. She has spent nearly her entire career working with newborn babies and their moms. Violet focuses heavily on supporting and educating expecting parents to ensure a healthy birth. The majority of her career was dedicated to the Multnomah County Health Department. During this time, Violet became a champion for the Healthy Birth Initiative. She advocated for the well-being of expecting parents to ensure the success of a healthy baby at birth, 

Since retiring, Violet has continued to support the Multnomah County Health Department, She also makes time to spend with her husband of 39 years, with whom they are proud parents to 3 adult children and grandparents to 5 grandchildren.
